1 Cor 15:44-46 – It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46) Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The word natural is significant here because, there is a starting point for all mankind as well as a finishing point in their life time. God has graciously granted unto all mankind life, for we are His very own children. Matt 5:44-45 – But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45) that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. His desire is that during our lives that we would acknowledge Him as Lord, except the free gift of eternal life and by the power of the Holy Spirit put off that which is natural and put on that which is spiritual to live and rule in Him eternally. Sadly there is no recourse for the evil who refuse to change and remain in their wicked ways, for the soul is eternal and surely they will not dwell as one in God, but in eternal punishment. Many theologians and Christians don’t believe there is an eternal soul. Rev 20:15 – And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev 20:10 – And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and “shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Now if there is no eternal soul than they must be saying John, the writer, of book of Revelation must have got it wrong. 2 Tim 3:16-17 – All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. The Greek word for scripture means Holy Writ. The bible we have today is the Word of God from the front to the back and it must be received in that manner. The Holy Spirit speaks to me through it everyday, keeping me on course for eternal life and helping others how to get there as well.
The Greek word for natural means earthly and sensual. It is the condition of the human soul, which is much lower than the spiritually renovated nature of which Jesus Christ became for us. The natural condition includes even the beasts of the earth. The only thing that makes mankind different is that we can reason and have a free will make our own choices. The big issue with all mankind is that when the natural man connects with the five natural senses, self will and adding sin, it makes a very volatile mixture that brings violence and chaos on the land. If we look at the world around us we see the reality of the natural condition of mankind in their sin that personifies the self referential nature and the gratification of sensual desires of which there is no end. Jer 17:9 – The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? The beast follow out the instinctive nature of the DNA God created them to be, they are truly above the wickedness of the human condition. Reflecting on our nature mixed with sin we act as the creature lower then animals. Rom. 1:26-27 – For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. The human nature will not recognize its own sorry condition of which the Father sent Christ to redeem us from.
Perfection was never in the context of creation, God created what was on His heart to accomplish His plan in those who would believe in Him and hear His word, being doers of it. Indeed the scripture tell us that when God saw His creation He said it was very good.(Gen 1:31) Very good does not mean perfect. Sin had to come in its darkness of the natural man that light would arise out of it and mankind see their need of a savior, invoking reasoning a choice that would bring them to God that the regeneration process could bring forth as the spiritual man in Jesus Christ and thus eternal. Really, does God desire to live with people forever that do not love Him the same way He loves us? We can say we love God, but if it is not out of a new heart and spirit devoted to God and with a willingness to surrender all that the natural man is, with it’s self will and sin there can be no regeneration, thus cast into Hell to await the second death.
