The Fire of His Love

Think on this: The earth is circled on the left and the sun is on the right.  Imagine the sun as God, for “God is a consuming fire”, and imagine you or me as the earth. (click on picture to enlarge)  God created all mankind in His image and likeness, but He gave us a heart with free will, intellect and emotions, which is called our center.   God has a center too or a heart that is made the same way as ours, because we were made in His likeness and image.  When we give our lives to Jesus as Lord and savior it is His desire for us to willingly remove our center and allow His center to envelope us.  Isa 55:6-11 – Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7) Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 8) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

Ezek 36:25-27 – Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27) And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.  Most  Christians  live in oblivion to God’s plan for their lives.  Unknown to them, their free will has chosen a lie based on religious doctrine and traditions that have no power and that keep God from becoming their center.  Many others are stuck in a worldly life style with a confession of faith that is void, even of truth, and filled with moral relativism, secularism and tolerance that compromises their faith in Jesus every day.

The fire of Gods heart is not in His wrath, but in His deep passion and love for His children,  like a consuming fire within Him that craves possession of our soul.  Unknowing and unwittingly most Christian restrain Him from becoming the center of their life.  James 4:5 – Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The Spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?  The Greek word for “lusteth” is epipotheo (ep-ee-poth-eh’-o) means to intensely crave possession of.   Jesus had this kind of craving desire in His heart as well.  John 2:17 – Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”  Even Paul had the same desire in His heart.  Phil 1:8 – For God is my witness, how greatly I long (epipotheo) for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.  As Christians we fall way short of where I believe God desires us to be at.  Jesus was totally engulf in the Fathers center and was consumed with the Fathers love to build His church.  The Apostle Paul was  close behind, although he still had issues with his flesh for God had given him a thorn in the flesh to keep him humble.

Can you see why God must change our center?  Look at the earth in the picture it is bright like a star, but is only a reflection of the sun upon it.  Our center, with this dim reflection of His light, and a little love, keep Him standing far off and incapable of saving His children who He loves dearly .  Only when we allow Him to become our center and He envelope us with the consuming fire of His love, can He shake the earth and change it.  Only this kind of intensity in His love can grace us and enable us to do so.  Surrender to Him today He needs you to allow Him to envelope you with His center  and the fire of His love to save this dying world.
